Carl Holst is President of the Regional Council of the Region of Southern Denmark since 2007. The council counts 41 members. The Region of Southern Denmark, is one of five administrative units in Denmark, responsible for the provision of health care, social institutions and regional development in the Region.
Carl Holst sets out political strategies not only for the provision of health and social care, but also for the economic growth of the Region. He is Vice President of Danish Regions and Chairman of the Regional Growth Forum of Southern Denmark. He is also member of Venstre’s national Central Board.
